John B. Dickson, CEO

John Dickson is CEO of Bytewhisper Security and an internationally recognized cybersecurity leader who has advised clients on cybersecurity risk for over 25 years. John was a Principal at Denim Group where he guided that company to a successful acquisition by Coalfire in 2021. A former U.S. Air Force intelligence and cyber officer, Dickson served in the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC) and was a member of the Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team (AFCERT) in the 1990s. John is a Past Chairman of the Texas Lyceum, a current member of the Texas Business Leadership Council, and Chairman of San Antonio’s Air System Development Committee tasked with San Antonio’s $4B airport transformation. He has been researching and speaking about the convergence of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity and its impact on organizations since 2018.

Kyle Hankins, CTO

Kyle Hankins is the CTO of Bytewhisper Security, with a 20 year career that includes extensive hands-on experience in application security and software engineering. Prior to cofounding Bytewhisper Security, Hankins led a team of 60 talented security consultants as the head of Application Security for Coalfire, which he joined in 2021 as part of the acquisition of Denim Group. In addition to providing security consulting for a vast array of clients that includes multiple Fortune 50 companies, Hankins has delivered development and security services directly for companies in the telecommunications, defense, and entertainment industries, developing and releasing both open source and proprietary products.
